Activity Title: Virtual Election of Humanities and Social Sciences Officers for SY 2021-
2022

Room

Objective(s): This activity aims to:

A. to elect among the HUMSS learners their club officers for the current school
year;
B. to promote collaboration, unity, accountability and efficiency in serving the
student body;
C. to orient and conduct alternative measures to have student representation amidst
pandemic;
D. to develop and improve relationships between teachers and learners; and
E. to fulfill their duties and responsibilities as the representative of the club.

Expected Number of Participants: Ninety- five (95) HUMSS Learners and Three (3)
Teaching Personnel

PART II

I. Rationale
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought drastic changes in different sectors of the
country. In the education sector, it has shifted the traditional conduct of classes to a new
normal set-up. It has introduced different learning modalities and strategies to learners and
teachers to achieve essential curricular goals. In the field of student leadership, the
Department of Education has been continuously proposing different measures to have
student representation even amid the pandemic. Its effort will bring concrete and effective
leadership skills, knowledge, and attitudes to the youth of this generation.

Together with the opening of classes this school year 2021-2022, the Department of
Education issues the Interim Guidelines on Student Government Elections for the School
Year 2021-2022 under the New Normal the conduct of the Organization Elections shall also
be done. With this as guide, elections of club officers in sections handled were announced
and conducted.

II. Narrative
Following health protocols, the virtual election for the different positions in the club
officers for school year 2021-2022 was held through Facebook messenger Chat room among
HUMSS learners. The said activity started exactly 2:30 in the afternoon. All the HUMSS
learners were able to join the nomination. Using the virtual nomination, students were able
to vote/nominate their respective schoolmates. The virtual nomination was done for every
positions. These positions are president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, auditor,
protocol officer and public information officer. The elections were held last September 30,
2021.

The elected HUMSS Club Officers for SY 2021-2022 are the following learners
namely:

Election of HUMSS Club Officers for SY 2021-2022

Agenda/Objective:

1.To elect new set of class officers for SY 2021-2022

The following transpired during the meeting:

1. The election of the new set of class officers was presided by the HUMSS Club
Advisers Sir Allan A. Roque, Ma’am Angeline C. Cacho and Ma’am Julienne G.
Eclarino
2. Using facebook messenger chat room as the platform, a virtual election was made so
that each student can vote or nominate for each position.
3. The different positions are president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, auditor,
peace officer and public information officer.
4. After all has voted, those who have garnered the most number of votes won the
election.
5. The list of the officers is attached with this minutes.
