A. INTRODUCTION AND MOTIVATION

Everybody please look at in your surroundings, what can you see? What have

you observed? A lot of trees, buildings, vehicles, people, animals and many more. Now look at
yourself, what do you see? You have clothes, pants, watch, shoes, and bags. Now, can you identify
what kind of things that we have mentioned earlier, it is a living thing or a nonliving thing? I have here
a picture of food, water, shelter, and air. What do you think are the things that we need in order to
survive? Identify whether we need it to survive or not.

a. Ask the class if they are living or nonliving things.
b. Show an example of living and nonliving things.
c. Let them describe and identify the picture shows.
d. Explain to the students what are living and nonliving things.

IV. EVALUATION
Direction: Identify a living and nonliving thing. Write L for living things and NL for nonliving
things. Write your answer on the space provided before the number.

Humans can’t live without heart. From heart the blood pumps by the heart will go our nerves,
which helps us to live longer here in the earth. Our heart is important. But who are you

give his idea about our heart.
