I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of 60 minutes, the students are expected to determine the conditions under which lines and
segments are parallel or perpendicular
Materials: Power Point Presentation, Show me card, Felt Tip Pen, Score Board
III. PROCEDURES:
A. Greetings:
Good Morning Class! May I know from the attendance officer who’s in/out today?
B. Review:
Recall the relationship between pairs of angles formed by parallel lines cut by a transversal using an
illustration.
The teacher will present to the students the conditions under which lines and segments are parallel or
perpendicular
Conduct a whole-class discussion on various conditions under which lines and segments are parallel or
perpendicular
Discuss worked examples to illustrate this conditions.
After the discussion, group students into 5 and let them perform the activity regarding the conditions that
guarantee parallelism (in a form of contest)
V. ASSIGNMENT:
Which lines are parallel if given the following conditions? State the postulate or theorem that justifies your conclusions.
