The Lectio was practiced at Barangay Maluno Norte and to the neighboring municipality of San
Mariano specifically Old, San MAriano

The practice is being performed during Semana Santa specifically Good Friday,
prayer for the soul of the dead and last night of the funeral. The procedure starts with a
prayer of Holy Rosary before singing the Lectio ( Liyave/Male and Virhen/Female ).

III. STORIES/NARRATIVES ASSOCIATED WITH THE ELEMENT

The Lectio book and its practice was brought and taught by Mr. Luiz Taguinod from Enrile, Cagayan.
He taught his daughter Coring Taguinod and other interested people within the community on how
to perform the Lectio. Over the years, the book was handed to was being handed Mrs. Petronila J.
Coloma. Until now, she is stillshe still practicing the Lectio.
