Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos, Jr.

I. Personal na impormasyon at Kaugnay na Detalye ng Kandidato (Personal Information

and Background of the Candidate)

kaalaman, siya ay kumuha ng Masters in Business Administration sa Wharton School of

 Kongresista: Ikalawang Distrito, Ilocos Norte, 1992 - 1995
 Gobernador: Lalawigan ng Ilocos Norte, 1998 - 2007
 Kongresista: Ikalawang Distrito, Ilocos Norte, 2007 - 2010
 Senador: Hulyo 2010 – kasalukuyan

Leader of the House of Representatives.
No. 9522).
ngayon ang namumuno sa Senate Committee on Local Government and the Committee on
Public Works.

Contributor of CDF to Cooperatives noong Oktubre 1994 at Young Achiever Awardee for
Government and Public Service noong Nobyembre 1994.

Performance

The 57-year-old Marcos is currently the chairman of the Senate committees

on local government and public works. He also chairs the oversight committee
on the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Organic Act, the
congressional oversight panel on the Special Purpose Vehicle Act, and a
select oversight committee on barangay affairs.

So far, in the 16th Congress (2013 to present), Senator Marcos has authored
52 bills, with one enacted into law. His Senate Bill 1186, which sought the
postponement of the 2013 Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections, later
became Republic Act 10632 on October 3, 2013.

Marcos has also co-authored 4 Senate bills. One of them, Senate Bill 712,
was approved as Republic Act 10645 or the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of
2010.

Meanwhile, in the 15th Congress (2010 to 2013), he was the author of 34

Senate bills – 28 of which he refiled in the 16th Congress – and was co-author
of 17 more, 7 of which became Republic Acts.

Among them are the Anti-Drunk and Drugged Driving Act, the Cybercrime
Prevention Act, the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act, and the
National Health Insurance Act.

When he was Ilocos Norte representative in the 14th Congress (2007 to

2010), Marcos supported the passage of Republic Act 9522 or the
Archipelagic Baselines Law of the Philippines as a member of the House
bicameral conference committee.

Only 3 House bills in the 14th Congress were principally authored by him,
including his version of the Archipelagic Baselines Law, which remained
pending in the House committee on foreign affairs, according to the House
Legislative Information System (LEGIS). But he was co-author of 21 other
House bills, 6 of which later became law.

Meanwhile, at his first stint in the Lower House during the 9th Congress (1992
to 1995), Marcos was the author of 29 House bills and co-author of 90 more,
which includes those that paved the way for the creation of the Department of
Energy and the National Youth Commission.

IV. Paglalagom o Sintesis (Summary or Synthesis)
