Introduction:-

I was given the task to Perform Pipe Flow Analysis On

my local street netwok of pipes. I therfeore took the
Snapshot using Google Earth using the snipping Tool

Assumptions and Procedure:-

1 Since my registration Number is 35 therefore I assumed the in flow to be 235
2 I made sure that the anaylysis being done consisted of a network with at least 2 loops
3 I then calculated the distribution of flow along the pipes as shown in the figures
4 I then assumed the values of K for each pipe keeping in mine the requirement that was to choose between 2-9
5 After making necessary assumptions I then calculated Head Loss using the formula hL=KQ°2
6 After Calculation Of head loss for each pipe I calculated Effective Discharge.
7 After calculation of head loss and Effective Discharge. I took their sums separately.
8 Then I divided Head Loss by Effective Discharge
9 The value came out to be -11.581
10 Then I Made Necessary corrections in each pipe to make my assumptions
accurate and precise
11 The assumptions were corrected for both the loops and the process was repeated twice until
the values were accurate and precise and the value of Delta Q came out to be -0.124

Area Under Study:-

This is the area under study and is located in Bahria Town Phase
8. This is the Sector D street 11 and the two house that can be
seen are 49D and 50D(which is mine) as mentioned in the address
of my student card. The complete pipe flow diagram has been
given and labelled in the 2nd Sheet.
