II. Rationale
Ricardo L. Ipong National High School initiated to establish Palaisdaan sa Paaralan. This
project is an opportunity to generate income for the school and further improve the quality of
education of the school. Fish production is a rewarding endeavor. Ideally, this activity is
undertaken to support school program needs and use vacant site and available resources to the
fullest. In this juncture, the school thought of embarking on a long plan income generating
project as a means of maintaining and sustaining the program. Most importantly to raise funds
for the improvement of the school’s gulayan project. The school’s fish production and school’s
feeding program.

Objectives:

 To set-up a Palaisdaan sa Paaralan as an additional feature in the school


 To sustain the abundance and productivity of the Palaisdaan sa paaralan especially
for the Feeding program.
 To serve as school’s income generating project
 Develop appreciation of the learners the importance of agriculture and fisheries in
their life as source of food and income

II. Scope and Coverage

A. Priority Target Beneficiaries and Schools


The Palaisdaan sa Paaralan Project will be beneficial to the learners, teachers, and
stakeholders of Ricardo L. Ipong National High School. If the project can harvest
significant produce primarily distributed to the learners, parents and other stakeholders.
This is like a community pantry of sorts. Any available surplus of harvests is sold to the
market where proceed are converted to buy education materials for learners and
maintenance of the said project.

B. Duration:
To achieve the objectives for this project, a period of nine months from June to
January was allotted. After harvesting, palaisdaan sa paaralan maintenance will
then follow which will be carried out by the assigned PTA officers since there’s no
students in the school because of pandemic we are facing right now.

III. Activity

June 3rd week 2020 Determining the Best area for Palaisdaan sa Paaralan
The site was identified by the principal, PTA officer’s representative that is best for the
establishment for Palaisdaan sa paaralan. They considered the topography, type of soil, source of
water, accessibility and availability of quality fingerlings of tilapia.

July 4th week -August 2021 Pond Preparation


The pond preparation was done by the 4P’s beneficiaries, and other stakeholders of
Ricardo L. Ipong National High School. Some parents were voluntarily helped as well.
September- December Pond Routine management
This period was the pond routine management such as weed control, water quality
monitoring and feeding by the help of school PTA represented by Mr. Campus.
January 3rd week 2021 Harvesting
On 3 week of January was the harvesting of stocks that is usually done after three to four
rd

months culture period.


January 4th week up to present Palaisdaan sa Paaralan Maintenance
Since palaisdaan sa paaralan has been setup successfully, the 4th week of January up to
present and until the end of the school year, are allotted for the maintenance of the site.

IV. PROBLEMS MET

a. Logistics and preparation


There were no problems met during the preparation because in doing the tasks, the
BAYANIHAN SYSTEM is still being practiced.
b. Timetable delay
Weather is one of the main factors for the delay of the setting up of this
project. When there is heavy rain, the work stopped.
V. RECOMMENDATION

 The area should be flat.


 Make another pond to increase the fish production.
