Lesson Plan for Topic#11: ADD, ADHD, & OCD

Objective: To have students be able to differentiate the three disorders through lectures and

educational videos. Students will also learn the treatments for the said disorders and be more

aware of how it affects people nowadays.

Materials: ADD/ADHD/OCD Powerpoint, “What is ADHD?” Video, “What is OCD” Video,

Notes worksheet, Video Questions Handout.

Instruction:

⤿Start with questions that pertains to the symptoms of the three disorders.

⤿Slowly begin to introduce the topic about the three disorders and give out worksheets

that they will need to do.

⤿Activity: Notes Worksheet. Students will fill in the missing information on the

worksheet by listening to the lesson and reading the slides which has the data needed in order to

fill in the blanks.

⤿PowerPoint Presentation:

Evaluation: Students will be split up into three groups and will be given one of the three

disorders. Then they will do a group report with a Powerpoint presentation based on what they

learned about the disorder assigned. Students will be able to use any resources given by the

teacher like the notes worksheet and video questions, if wanted, students can add more to their

report by doing research.
