1. Give at least 5 reasons why players as well as enthusiasts should be safety conscious as they
play or watch the game.
Answer: 1) To avoid any risks.
2) To enjoy the game without problems.
3) To find safety hazards ahead of time.
4) To notice any problems before, during, or after the game.
5) So that everyone is comfortable.

2. If given a chance to play table tennis amid the coronavirus pandemic, what would you
personally do to maintain safety in the playing area?
Answer: First, monitor health daily, be aware of COVID-19 symptoms, and stay home if not
feeling well. Second, wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use a hand
sanitizer if soap and water are not readily available. Third, avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth
with unwashed hands. Fourth, Cover mouth and nose with a mask (except when active on court).
Lastly, maintain 6 feet physical distance from others.

3. What life lessons have you learned during the pandemic?

Answer: One of the most important lessons I’ve learned since the start of the pandemic is the
importance of core relationships. As a busy university student with activities that barely fit within
a twenty-four-hour schedule, I’m constantly meeting new people and forging new friendships.
However, since that fateful day when WHO announced COVID-19 to be a global emergency, all
these activities grinded to a halt. The activities that shaped my social circles and created a sense of
community and fulfilment left me feeling intensely isolated. Once these activities diminished, my
social circles narrowed which created more time to spend with my loved ones. There is a finite
amount of energy and time we must create meaningful relationships, and the pandemic reminded
me that the grass is indeed greener where you water it.
4. Will you be willing to go back to MSU again when distance learning is no longer required?
Answer: Yes, Not having a normal school setting may not allow me to be the best student I can
be. I’ll have the safety of my health top of mind instead of learning the curriculum. Honestly, I
would prefer learning in a virtual setting, and being able to learn from the comfort of my own
home. I know I would be able to stay on top of assignments, although I know some students may
not feel the same. I am also a student-athlete, and I am worried about my school's plan regarding
sports. It is a piece of my life that I would want to go back to normal, yet I want to be considerate
of my health as well as others. A lot of students depend on sports as a place to escape for a while,
and others depend on sports scholarships for college. I am also thinking about those students and
how much that will impact them this school year.
