Parental Consent form for live Virtual Competitions

In response to the Coronavirus restrictions, Renaissance College, Hong Kong is now hosting its
Inter-ESF Math Race 2020 , via the online platform Zoom.
The competition will take place on
November 28th, Years 7 and 8 , 8:30 am to 12:30 noon
Years 9 and 10, 1:30 pm to 5: 30 pm
When interacting online, students agree to:
● Only use their school account for online meetings and never share their
username and password.
● Never share the link or password for the meeting outside of the invited
participants - let the supervising teacher know in advance if you would like to
invite any guests.
● Make sure that the student participates from home / school and has a
supervising adult be aware and be present in the vicinity
● Establish and maintain a positive and supportive online learning environment; do
not post or upload anything off-topic, offensive, abusive or illegal to the online
meeting or chat function.
● Treat all other students and their opinions with respect, cultural sensitivity and
politeness; and will not use any racist, sexist, homophobic, abusive terms, swear
words or language that may cause offence.
● Stick to topics related to the focus of the activity.
● Be on time and let the leaders/participants know if they cannot attend a meeting
for any reason.
● Dress appropriately (as they would if they were going to an event at their school).
● Share any concerns that they have about another student with the supervising
adult in the meeting.
● Never share sensitive personal information including any form of contact details
with other students.
● Never record or take photographs of the meeting without written permission from
the participants and the supervising teacher.
In order for your child to participate in the meetings , we would like your permission.
