Now let us have a short activity before moving into our new topic. We call this a “Who
am I” challenge. All you must do is to answer the following questions. Are you ready?
(Yes Ma’am!)
o I am one of your ability that you can find in chart. What am I? (C)
o I am first in final. What am I? (F)
o I am a vitamin that you can get in squash but never in grass. What am I? (A)
o I am the sound of a three-letter word kind of drink that is healthy for the body.

LESSON PROPER:
Ask your students if they know what a fact is. Explain that a fact is something that is
true. Give your students an example of a fact. An example is that an octagon has eight
sides.
Ask your students if they know what an opinion is. Explain that an opinion is a belief that
people have about something or someone. Give your students an example of an
opinion. An example is that Zamboanga is the most beautiful city. Explain that it is an
opinion because not everyone thinks Zamboanga is the most beautiful city.
Go around the class and have each student say a fact. Write them on the board. Go

different colored board marker for facts and opinions.
Ask your students to complete the Fact and Opinions worksheet individually to follow
the recommended safety protocols. Go over the worksheet as a class.

o Ask your students to pick out a book about an animal from the class library or
school library. Direct your students to read the book and write down five facts
about the animal.
