01 Overall Progress, DMA and FM progress

02 Gothatuwa Jublee System and the Relevant DMAs (Back Feeding from Jublee)
DMA 30A – Additional pipe laying roads flushing is in progress KCG DMA in charge agreed to complete all the
balance works by 10th September 2020.
DMA 30B – Locked for initial NRW, house connections inspection with O and M is in progress and construction
site visit to be arrange after completing the defects and advance copy of as built drawing is under PIU
review to arrange O and M site visit ASAP. Lake Drive PVC connection transferring is in progress
DMA 30C – As built drawing key plan is under PIU review.
DMA 30D – Flushing is remaining and KGC DMA in charge agreed to complete all the balance works by 10th
September 2020.
DMA 25 – Cotta road section and Eliot place system pressure preparation ongoing, house connection transfer in
possible roads is in progress, Decommissioning valves are closing one by one by informing to O and
M. KGC house connection in charge agreed to complete all the HC transferring work by 15th
September 2020. RDA approval for Cotta Road balance pipe laying is pending.
FM - Advance copy of as built drawing submitted on same day and O and M site visit to be arrange
accordingly. Official request to proceed the Gothami road 600mm dia. DI culvert crossing has been
sent to KGC.

02 Maligakanda System 1 and the Relevant DMAs

DMA 27A - As O and M division is unable to open the surface box by the tools provided by the KGC, PM (CN/CE)
reminded to arrange a joint inspection with O and M, PIU with contractor to identify the defects DMA
in charge of KGC agreed to submit the details for J. Milton Jeyanthaweerasekara connection and the
start the work soon.
DMA 27B - Flushing and disinfections, house connection transfer is in progress, Panchikawaththa line to be merged
with DMA. Remaining balance works of Pradeepa Mawatha culvert crossing, 225 mm HDPE pressure
testing and Pradeepa Mw Panchikawaththa Junction connection are yet to be done. DMA in charge of
KGC agreed to complete all the balance works by 15th of September 2020.
DMA 27C - System pressure in New Bothiraja mw is ongoing and the balance tapping tee installation to be started,
DMA in charge of KGC agreed to complete flushing and disinfection by 10th of September 2020.
Meter location authorization issuea at Bodhi raja Mw to be forwarded to O & M
DMA 27D - 400 mm PE laying is in progress, Mahawela Ln balance work and CEB issue at 280mm laying is yet to
be completed. DMA in charge of KGC agreed to complete all the work by 15th of September 2020.
FM - 800 mm, 600mm and 400mm DI line flushing and Disinfection report to be received, PM (CN/CE)
requested to complete the balance works including raising of surface boxes and chambers and take
action to handover to O and M. KGC design in charge greed to submit the advance copy of
Maligakanda System 1.

DMA 23B – Balance pipe laying in school lane, Flushing and meter transferring in Dematagoda road are
in progress, Siri Dhamma Mw meter transferring is ongoing. KGC DMA in charge agreed
to complete the balance pipe laying within the same week.
DMA 23A- DMA in charge of KGC agreed to completet Pipe laying in Marudana road,
Abeyagunawardana Mw by following Friday. Deans road pipe laying and pressure testing
in Vajiranantha mawatha and house connections works are in progress,
- Marudana road crossing is ongoing.
- Anantha Mawatha balance section permission is yet to be obtained.
- KGC, DPM agreed to send handing over letters to Temple road and Sarath Fenseka
Mawatha within couple of days.
FM - 500 mm DI BV to be installed to manage the flow and pressure and he interruption will be
arranged on 12th September 2020 at night.

04 Gothatuwa System and the Relevant DMAs (Back Feeding from Maligaganda)
DMA 18 – Decommissioning to be started, Approval for C.W.W. Kannangara Mawatha is in progress,
key plan submitted to CMC Drainage division.
DMA 17A - Balance pipe laying and pressure testing is in progress KGC, DMA in charge agreed to start
the pipe laying along Abeyagunawardana and Marudana road on following day.
- Getting approval for Balance section of Deans road and T.B. Jaya mawatha is in progress
DMA 17B - Balance pipe laying along Anantha Rajakaruna Mawatha and pressure testing is in progress,
flushing, disinfection and house connection transfer is in progress. DMA in charge of KGC
agreed to complete 315mm dia. HDPE pipe laying by 15th September 2020.
DMA 17C - Balance pipe laying and pressure testing is in progress, this DMA is temporarily feeded, so
flushing, disinfection, house connections works to be started accordingly.
- Getting permission for Vipulasena Mawath, De Seram road Hedgest court, Piyathasa
Srisena Mawatha and Balance section of Madudana road is in progress (estimate to be paid,
Millimg and overlaying will be done by CMC)
DMA 28B - This DMA to be temporarily feeded in Sri Mahinda Darma, Kent road and Aramaya Place.
- Action to be taken to feed Dematagoda place from DMA 23B through emergency feeder.
All other DMAs Balance pipe laying and pressure testing is in progress (DMA 28A, 29A, 29B and 24).
FM - 800 mm DI laying is in progress at Anantha Rajakaruna and Trial excavation inside the
Maligakanda yard has been completed and KGC feeder main in charge agreed to complete the
800 mm DI yard piping by 15th September 2020 by deploying two teams.
- Balance portion of sewer line is yet to be removed at Canal road at Lesli Ranagala junction.
- Trial excavation for Neegrodarama Bridge crossing is in progress.
- Pressure testing for balance portion of 1000mm DI at Pelangasthuduwa is ongoing.

 - 400 DI laying is in progress along Dean’s road
- 500mm DI and 400mm DI pressure testing is to be started from J D fernanado Mw to
Dematagoda road (FM at DMA 28B).
- 500 mm DI laying along Linsy Ranagala Mawatha is in progress
- 600mm Moragsmulla balance laying is to be started.

05 Temporary Commissioning the DMAs

DMA 28A –Veluwana Place, Base line Junction commissioning completed and Interruption for
commissioning of Kolonawa road and Base line road Junction is to be arranged on 12th
September 2020, further pipe laying and pressure testing to be planned accordingly.
DMA 29A – Action to be taken to feed this DMA from Linsy Ranagala Mawatha and pipe laying and
pressure testing to be planned accordingly.
- Design drawings for tenement garden area in DMA 29A is yet to be submitted.
DMA 29B – Action to be taken to feed this DMA from Nigrodhama Mawatha and pipe laying and pressure
testing to be planned accordingly.
DMA 24 – Temporary commissioning from Baseline Road is to be investigated.

06 Any Other Matters

• Monthly water consumption for flushing ad disinfection is to be submitted for the month of July.
• End of Defect liability period for DMA 30A and 30D are to be notified to O & M.
• Principle Police permission for pipe laying is to be extended for another one-year period.
