At the end of the period, the learners are expected to:
1. determine the frequency of the activities based on physical activity pyramid guide
for Filipino children.
2. perform a physical activity based on the pyramid guide.
3. identify the five principal parts of physical fitness.

The Physical Activity Pyramid Guide for Filipino Children can help a child like
you to become more active. It is based on the Pyramid Guide. It consists of physical
activities divided into four levels where each level refers to the recommended frequency of
performance of various physical activities
LET’S DISCUSS
If you are currently less active, you should start at the bottom of the pyramid and
gradually increase the activity recommended by the Physical Activity Pyramid Guide for
Filipino Children. It is better if these activities are not done only once but often or if possible,
do it daily. If you are currently active, it may be best to continue the activities you are already
doing or add to them. Remember that you do not have to surprise your body. Feel it for
physical activities to help you more.
Physical Fitness
Physical fitness is an ability of every person to perform daily activities without
getting tired immediately.
Physical fitness has five principal parts. It is also called fitness components.

SUMMARY
The Physical Activity Pyramid Guide for Filipino Children can help a child like
you to become more active. It is important to consider what to do and how often
it will be done to improve health.
The activities that can be done are not limited to the recommended activities
in the pyramid. Other activities may be added to the recommended frequency of
activities such as playing other sports and other physical activities.
Physical fitness is an ability of every person to perform daily activities without
getting tired immediately.

LET’S GO OVER
MAJOR NUTRIENTS AND FOOD LABELS
People look at food labels for different reasons. But whatever the reason, many
consumers would like to know how to use this information more effectively and easily.
Being aware of the food label teaches the consumers to choose the right food to keep oneself
strong and healthy. This SLK will discuss abut major nutrients that our body need and food
labels.

At the end of the period, the learners are expected to:
1. identify the major nutrients that the body need.
2. determine the major nutrient content of given food.
3. recognize the information provided the food label.

FOOD LABELS
SUMMARY
Nutrient are obtained from the food we eat. It is important to know what are
the major nutrients we need for us to live. Prints on food packages provide a variety
of information about its contents. The package also identifies the different types of
nutrients available in food by checking Nutrition Facts. Nutrition Facts is a table that
states the type and size of nutrients available in the food inside the package. Here
are some of its components.

ACCENTED PULSE AND UNACCENTED PULSE
This SLK will discuss the different accented and unaccented pulse in musical
compositions.
OUR TARGET
At the end of the period, the learners are expected to:
1. describe accented and unaccented pulses.
2. identify accented and unaccented pulses.
3. recognize metric accents note in different time signature.

Metric accents
These are accents that naturally occur with each time signature, or meter.
Essentially, the downbeat of each measure (beat 1) is always the strongest. Other beats
are accented less. The beat 1 in metric accent does NOT require the symbol “ >” to indicate
it was accented.
SUMMARY
Accented note has “>” symbol above or below them. Metric accents are having
naturally accented notes which is the first beat.
