Thank you to the wonderful community and business
organizations for planning, supporting and donating to
the medical benefit put on in my honor in March. This is
not the first time the community has rallied behind my
family and I on this cancer journey. Words cannot express
our humble gratitude for all of the prayers, kind words,

Last chance for a perfect steak
If you want a perfectly grilled steak without the
hastle of doing it yourself, the VFW will hold their final
steak fry of the season this Friday, May 27th from 5:00-

The Memorial Day Program

The Memorial Day Program will be broadcast
on Memorial Day at 10:00am May 30, on KLTZ. The
program will be in the same format as when they were
held in the Civic Center. Scot Renville will be Master
of Ceremonies as well as guest speaker. He is an Iraqi

Day was formerly observed on May 30 from 1868 to
1970. In 1971, Congress standardized the holiday as
"Memorial Day" and changed its observance to the last
Monday in May.
Saturday, May 28, volunteers will meet at Highland
Cemetery in Glasgow to place American flags on nearly
1000 veterans’ grave sites beginning at 9:00am. All
volunteers are welcome. The flags will be removed
Monday, May 30 at 3:00pm.

Glasgow School District honored
The Glasgow School District has been recognized as
a 2021-22 Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished
District for providing broad access to transformative
learning opportunities for students through its PLTW
programs. It is one of just 282 districts across the U.S.
to receive this honor. PLTW is a nonprofit organization
that serves millions of PreK-12 students and teachers in
schools across the U.S.
The PLTW Distinguished District recognition
honors districts committed to increasing student access,
engagement, and achievement in their PLTW programs.
To be eligible for the designation, Irle Elementary had to
meet the PLTW Distinguished School Program criteria for
the 2020-21 school year.
Through PLTW programs, students develop in-

they take. As PLTW students progress through grades
PreK-12, they are empowered to engage in problem-
solving and process thinking, develop technical knowledge

Judge Grants Knudsen Request
for Preliminary Injunction
Title 42 immigration restrictions
would have been lifted today

Last month saw yet another record when it comes
to the number of encounters with illegal aliens on our
Southern Border. If you think it is bad now, though, just
wait till a provision known as Title 42 is lifted.
Thanks to the efforts of Montana's Attorney General
Austin Knudsen (R-MT), Title 42 will remain in place. A
federal judge blocked the Biden Administration's effort
to lift the restrictions just days before the provisions
were set to be lifted. Title 42 was set to be lifted today
(Monday, May 23rd).
AG Knudsen, who teamed up with other attorneys
general from across the US to block the lifting of Title
42, praised the judge's order late Friday:
AG Knudsen: "Border Patrol agents are already
overwhelmed with the crisis at the border and lifting
Title 42 would have made it even worse, resulting in
more illicit drugs coming across the border and crime
increases across the nation – including right here in
Montana. President Biden must secure the border and
I won’t stop fighting his dangerous border policies until
he does."
