C. Motivation / Now, we are going to play a game and


Establishing a purpose this game is called “POP THE

First, will group you into two. This will


be group 1, and this will be group 2.

I have prepared sets of balloons with


letters inside. Each group will pop the
balloons and assemble the letters to form
one word, and attach it on the paper

There once lived a king in a

daughter. Her name is Princess Alberta.
He was very proud of her for she is very
beautiful and kind. Everybody in the
kingdom loves her. Princess Alberta
loved playing games when she was
young. She had playmates in the palace.
She has a big playground. Princess
Alberta likes to go horseback riding with
her father. When she grew up, she was
the fastest rider in the Kingdom. This
made her very proud.

together to make one word.
Compound Words are made up of two
small words put or joined together to
make one new and larger word.

For example, the words “play” and


“mate”, they both have different
meanings. But if we are going to
combine the words “play” and “mate”,
what new word can you come up with?
