On Monday, my supervisor gave me Crisis Assessments to add to the Crisis Assessment

binders I put together. We were looking to see which clients were truly considered to be in a

crisis. I was also given a water application to complete, so after I completed the application, I

entered the data into the system. At the end of the day, I helped my supervisor and coworker

pack up for Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we were in Clarke County

doing applications. We had various appointments and applications to do that it almost felt

endless. There were 6 of us doing applications and entering data into the system. We also had to

change the status of the clients in the scheduler. The other people not doing applications were

making copies of the clients’ documents and bringing them us in the room we were in. After all

the applications were completed Wednesday afternoon, everyone packed their supplies back up

and we headed home.

On Thursday, when I got to work, I helped my supervisor and coworker bring their stuff

into the office since we do not come back to the office after doings the Energy Assistance

Program (EAP) in a different county. Awhile after being in the office, I was not given anything

to do yet. My supervisor and coworker were being taught how to do something in the system

database for a certain application process by their lead. My coworker later brought me water

applications to complete while she was working on a different task after what she was being

taught in her by their lead. On Friday, it was very slow for us. We only had a few calls come in.

Due to this, my supervisor gave me permission to work on my schoolwork to keep me busy. She

knows that I cannot post or upload anything during work hours, however I was given permission

to work on my work.

From the EAP in Clarke County, I noticed that my supervisor and I were given

documents for clients that others felt like we were able to handle opposed to the other people

doing applications with us. We were going to applications pretty quickly. We had cooling and

water applications to do. I did so many applications that I can remember the vendor numbers for

different places. We probably could have gone through more, however, I cannot sign the

applications since I am not an actual worker here. I am learning about the organization’s

programs, and it’s helping me decide how my booklet will be structured as there is a lot a cannot

describe about the programs such as specifics like income or other things that my supervisor and

coworker may not know about when it comes to the other programs. I am glad that I got to go to

Clarke with my supervisor because I was able to go get to know the people who run Clarke for

the Ninth District Opportunity.
