GRADE I – SCIENCE (Home-Based/Distance Learning)

Remarks:

1. This Compressed Curriculum Guide Syllabus ( CCGS ) contains the list of essential learning competencies which were lifted from the MELCs of the K-12 curriculum and from the
unpacked LCs developed. The CCGS is a complete integration of the MELCs identified by the Central Office. Those MELCS that were fully packed were broken down using the list of
unpacked LCs and spread across 8- 9 weeks per quarter .
2. Self-learning materials ( SLM ), video lessons , E-book and other learning materials that will be developed shall base their ELCs from this CCGS.
3. The ELCs are arranged per week . The number of weeks per quarter is still subject to change ( may be reduced to 8 weeks/quarter ) in the event that new changes in the contact days
shall be released by the Central Office .
4. The numbers assigned to the ELCs shall be maintained when developing the SLMs for uniformity and proper identification. ( Example : ELC number 4 for Quarter 1 shall maintain its
number and shall be reflected on the SLMs or other learning materials developed. )
5. ELCs marked with ASTERISK (*) are not recommended to be used for SLM but are highly encouraged for video lessons.
