TEACHER: MADILYN DG. MANGAHAS DATE SUBMITTED: July 12, 2022_

RATER: ROGER B. SAGUN SUBJECT & GRADE LEVEL:TLE 9 (Beauty Care)

DIRECTIONS: Reflect on your attainment of the RPMS objective by answering the questions/prompts provided. Use
any local or official language that you are comfortable with. Use extra sheets if needed. Please limit your response to
500 words.

OBJECTIVE 9
Designed, adapted and implemented teaching strategies that are
responsive to learners with disabilities, giftedness and talents
PROMPT #2
Design a lesson plan for the gifted and talented learners based on your idea on how they may be addressed in
your class. Your strategies for the gifted and talented learners must be highlighted and annotated in this form.
Attach your lesson plan here.

ANNOTATIONS

Just the same with all students, gifted and talented learners need rich learning experiences. That is, they need
learning experiences that are organized by key concepts and principles of a discipline rather than by facts. They
need content that is practical relevant to their lives, activities that enable them to elicit important ideas at a high
level, and products that make them to fight with meaningful problems and create justifiable solutions. They need
classrooms that are respectful to them, provide both structure and choice, and help them achieve more than they
thought they could. These are needs shared by all learners, not just those who are gifted and talented. But good
instruction for gifted and talented learners must begin there.

The lesson included a brain teaser as a form of motivation for the students. Here, they are stimulated to think
creatively and sharply. Differentiated instruction is also used in one of the activities in the lesson to address the
needs of the high, middle and low performing students, wherein, they are given 3 sets of activities depending on
their class performance. It promotes inclusivity since everyone will do the task collaboratively. Most of the activities
are presented in fun-game forms to enable the students enjoy while learning and participating actively. Presenting
their work orally while HOTS questions are being thrown to them will make them more engaged in the learning
process and let them think critically. The last activity wherein they are going to make a jingle related to the lesson
will bring out their creativity and talent in music, dancing and writing, which is of course guided by rubrics to help
them clearly meet what is be expected from their output.

The activities at glance maybe said very simple but I carefully chose these activities for I believe that they are
essential and practical as part of the delivery in my lesson in TLE Beauty Care and in addressing the needs of not
only the gifted and talented learners but by every learner whose learning needs to be sufficed.
