Part 2 Training on KALAHI-CIDSS Additional Financing Program Implementation Process

FEED BACKING SESSION

DAY 1
JULY 26, 2021
After dinner, a feed backing session was facilitated by the training team, and this
is to assess and evaluate what went right and what went wrong on the 3-day training in
the following areas: facilitators, resource person, venue, food, and the overall training
settings.
The session was headed by Mr. Arcel Gregory Baritua and participated by two
representatives from each participating municipality. It was also attended by all the
resource persons, facilitators, and documenters. Everyone was encouraged to voice out
their observations to help the training team improve the facilitation on the remaining
days of the training.

The participants raised the following points on the first day of training and were
considered "WHAT WENT RIGHT."

 Every topic was tailored to the needs of the municipalities, especially the
Work Breakdown Structure. The seminar seems to be a refresher course
for every municipality.
 The discussions of every resource speaker were
well-presented.
 The venue was conducive to learning.
 Everyone was given an ample opportunity to
participate in every workshop.
 The first day of training was considered a success
 The training was still rated five stars by the
participants.
 Everyone was thankful to experience a face to face training after almost
two years of none.

However, because of apparent lapses on the first day of training, the participants
pointed out many points and regarded them as the "WHAT WENT RIGHT..." Here as
follows:

 Seating arrangement per municipality was not correctly plotted

 The participants did not consistently observe minimum health protocols.
 Each table should strictly have 2-3 participants only to ensure social
distancing
 Topics were lengthy

FEED BACKING SESSION

 Food servings were unsatisfactory

 Unhygienic serving of food
 Facilitators should be adamant about reminding the participants to follow
the minimum health protocols.
 All concerns should immediately be brought to the management of the
venue.
 Get away from the buffet type of distribution of food.
 No thermal scanner was provided for the participants.
 Facilitators should be observant of the schedules provided in the program
flow.

Upon hearing these points from the participants and before their dismissal, the
training team, especially Mr. Baritua, assured everyone that these points were noted
and will immediately be given comprehensive solutions. The feed backing session with
the participants ended at around 8o clock in the evening and everyone was told that the
breakfast for the next day will be served as early as 6:30 in the morning.
The training team stayed for a few more minutes to discuss the actions needed
to cater to the lapses on the first training day. It was decided to set a meeting with the
management of Dumaluan Resort and ask for improvements in the food and
accommodation of the participants. A thermal scanner will also be requested from the
administration since it was included in the contract. The whole team also decided to
stick with the schedule provided in the
program flow. Also, everyone, especially the
facilitators, was reminded to remind all the
participants to observe the minimum health
standards, such as wearing a face mask and
face shield and maintaining social distancing.

The meeting was adjourned before 9o clock in the evening.

DAY 2
JULY 27, 2021
The second day of training ended at around 4 p.m. Before the dismissal,
everyone was again reminded that a feed backing session would be facilitated after
dinner, with the same instruction that two representatives from each municipality should
attend.
The feed backing session for day two started at 7 p.m. Mr. Arcel Baritua again
headed this with the same goal: to get aware, assess, and evaluate what went right and
what went wrong on the 3-day training on the following areas: facilitators, resource
person, venue, food, and the overall training settings.
This time, the participants raised the following points on the second day of
training and were considered "WHAT WENT RIGHT."

 Everyone appreciated the face-to-face training. Compared to having

virtual training.
 Mastery in the process was evident to the resource speakers.
 The facilitators were keen to check every participant.
 The first time that a feed backing session was held to evaluate the training
and the training team's everyday performance.
 Each municipality was able to get new insights and strategies from each
other.

However, for the "WHAT WENT WRONG," the following points were raised:
 Worst training for team KALAHI with regards to the services provided by
Dumaluan Resort.
 Still, no drinking water was provided in every room despite the request
made by the training team to the management of the venue
 The management did not respond to the requests of the raining team.
 Food was not worthy.

FEED BACKING SESSION

Upon hearing these points from the participants and before their dismissal, the
training team, especially Mr. Baritua, assured everyone that these points were noted
and will immediately be given comprehensive solutions. The feed backing session with
the participants ended at around 8o clock in the evening.
Like the other day, the training team stayed for a few more minutes to discuss
the actions needed to cater to the lapses on the second training day. It was again
decided to set a meeting with the management of Dumaluan Resort and question them
on their failure to provide the training team's requests, especially regarding the food
servings.
Everyone was also commended for their hard work and perseverance, which
successfully made the 2nd day of training.
