LEARNING OBJECTIVES

M At the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to spell animals, toys, games and numbers correctly.

C At the end of the lesson, some pupils will be able to listen to and follow instructions correctly.

1. Pupils write down as many toys and games as they can in one minute.
2. Pairs compare their lists.
I. PRE-LESSON
3. Elicit from the class onto bubble maps on the board.
4. Check spelling.
1. Activity 1:
 Draw pupils’ attention to the picture. (SB page 41).
 Elicit what they can see in the picture.
 Distribute a set of animals pictures to the pupils.
 Elicit what each one is.
 Give instructions to pupils using preposition. E.g. Put the cat in the tree.
 Pupils place the cat in the tree in the picture. (SB page 41)
 Continue with other instructions for other stickers using different prepositions.
II. LESSON 2. Activity 2:
DEVELOPMENT  In pairs, pupils look at their pictures and say where the animals are, e.g. The cat is in the
bag.
 Pupils can continue the game in pairs: Pupil A places the stickers secretly on his/her
picture and tells pupil B where each one is. Pupils B places them on his/her picture. Then
they look and check.
3. Activity 3:
 Distribute worksheets.
 Pupils look at the pictures and write the numbers.
 Check the answers with the class.
1. Pupils try to remember where they placed their animals for activity 1.
III. POST LESSON
