Activity No. 18

PROKARYOTIC AND EUKARYOTIC CELLS

Prokaryotic cells are without a well defined nucleus while eukaryotic cells have a
well defined nucleus due to the presence of nuclear membrane that encloses the
genetic material. Prokaryotic cells can be found only in organisms under Kingdom
Monera while Eukaryotic cells can be found in organisms under Kingdom Plantae,
Animalia, Protista and Fungi.

Objectives:
Identify the parts of a bacterium, plant and animal cell.
Compare the parts of a prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.
