ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
First and foremost, we want to thank Allah SWT from the beginning until we are finally able
to complete this task assigned by our entrepreneurship lecturer. Despite the fact that this project is
very hard for us, because most of us, this is our first time taking this subject in our life and also our
first time running a business together, we tried our best to fulfill it with all of our efforts. Fortunately,
despite the difficulty,we are able to answer it properly following the guideline given by our lecturer,
so it really helps us a lot by doing this assignment. Also we know what we are doing for this
portfolio. In addition, we are very thankful to Puan Norhaniza for her assistance in ensuring that
this assignment is completed properly from the beginning. Although we are only communicating via
Google Classroom and Telegram, the explanation is very clear, and she will also respond to any of
my questions when we are unsure how to do this task patiently. Besides,we like to thank each
other because we are willing to collaborate as a groupmate on this project and run a business
together without doubt to produce the good outcomes at the end until successfully. Although we
only communicate over WhatsApp, we never give up on each other to explain about anything that
we are not clear about any matters, and try our best to respond to the discussion, especially giving
an idea that is really helpful in completing this assignment. Without the continued assistance and
guidance from each other on this assignment, we may not be able to do this task successfully.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Takoiishii House is a partnership business owned by three young entrepreneurs that offer
the best homemade takoyaki in town. We decided to relaunch one of the groupmate members' old
business as the demand for takoyaki from her previous loyal customers is high.The new business
has been set up in the middle of May 2022.
According to the customer review, our product has a unique and delicious taste due to the
homemade recipe of the takoyaki batter and the takoyaki sauce. This takoyaki has gained a lot of
attention from many people, especially among teenagers. It can be said 60% of our customers are
most likely in the age of 16 years old - 25 years old. As our target market is mostly teenagers, we
offer the customer an affordable price starting with RM 4.
In the first month after launching, Takoiishii House already sells 104 boxes of takoyaki sets
consisting of all of the types of boxes that we offer, which are “baby set, mini set , giant set and
celebration box”. The demand for the takoyaki keeps increasing, resulting in a good profit.

Takoiishii.house is the business name that has been created by us based on the
product that we sell to the customers. The words “tako” stand from the word
takoyaki, a famous quintessential Japanese street food in Japan. While, “oiishii” is
derived as ‘oishi’ from Japanese words which means delicious and good. The
combination of these two words had been used to create the name of our business
which means delicious takoyaki to be served to the customer.

This business is a partnership business where 3 young entrepreneurs together manage the
business process with their own assigned position. Basically, the main chef is the one who will
control and direct the food preparation process and also prepare the dishes with the help from the
assistant chef. While the customer service manager, will deal with the customer through Whatsapp
and Direct Message on Facebook to receive orders and to deal with the delivery boy to make sure
the customer received their order in good condition. Marketing manager is the one who is
responsible for the marketing strategy. For example, the posts made on Facebook to attract the
customers.
Since this business is operating while we are students, we decided to hire part time workers
to help us with the business. We offer the assistant chef with RM 5 per hour and it depends on the
operating hours of the business. While for the delivery boy we offer him the money as much as the
delivery rate received per day. There is no fixed income for the delivery boy. For instance, the
delivery rate is not counted in our business account.

The idea of Takoiishii House is to serve one of Japan’s most famous street foods; takoyaki.
We created this brand with the purpose of bringing an affordable but luxury taste of takoyaki to our
customers. Japanese street foods have always been favourites among the locals, such as dango,
taiyaki, kakigori and most specifically, takoyaki. We took this opportunity to show to our customers
the special value of this particular street delicacy.
There are several reasons we decided to build this business. First and foremost, we wanted
to introduce our own interpretation of Japanese takoyaki that suits the locals’ taste buds. Second,
we saw how popular fusing elements of different food cultures to create interesting cuisines and
the rising popularity of cheese being in almost every street snack gave us the chance to try
incorporating it into our takoyaki recipes. Lastly, we simply wanted to serve the excellent quality of
food at a cheap price.
Our business is based in Kuala Pilah where we provide the delivery services for our
customers. We provide the lowest delivery rate the customers could ever get in which the range is
around RM 1 to RM 5 depending on the areas. Not only that, we also have a lot of promotions
going on for our regular and new customers so they can always enjoy our service to them. Loyal
and repeating customers are so important for our business to keep afloat in this heavily saturated
industry.

4.1 Conclusion
Takoiishii House is a business that all of us had envisioned and we are super proud of what
the three of us had built throughout this whole project. As we have been mentioning earlier, our
brand is about serving the most famous Japanese street snacks at a very affordable price. By
conducting this business through one of the biggest social media platforms, Facebook, it gives us
the opportunity to create awareness of our products and services among its users, especially those
who live nearby where the business is operating. Furthermore, we are able to create more
engagement with customers by our frequent postings hence, we are able to build a great
relationship with them.
We admit that this is such a risk of creating a business in an oversaturated market where
almost everyone is selling the same products. However, as business owners, we do believe that
our own products have their own uniqueness. Therefore, we set a high hope for our business to
grow well in this current economy. In addition, this course, ENT530 has taught us on how to
develop our entrepreneurial skills in creating and growing a business as well as learning how to
market products through hard selling and soft selling.
All in all, we acknowledge the power of social media on today’s business marketing and we
managed to grasp a lot from this project such as developing our marketing skills, building trust with
our customers and many more. Last but not least, we wish our takoyaki business to have
continuous success in the future.
