that they draw from the box.

Instruction: Group yourselves into 4 and create a role play based on the situation that your group will
draw from the box:
Group 1: What to do during an intense hot temperature
Group 2: What to do when it is raining
Group 3: What to do when it is storming
Group 4: What to do in a windy day

The students will perform the activity.

Discussion
The teacher will explain each topic through answering a set of questions per weather
What: The teacher will explain the what the weather is
How: The teacher will explain how they should act and behave during such situations
Why: The teacher will explain why should they do these precautions

Explain

1. Individual/Group Activity

2. Discussion

Same group. Each group will identify and write precautionary measures according to the weather conditions
assigned to their groups. List as many as you can.

Group 1: Sunny day

Group 2: Rainy Day
Group 3: Windy Day
Group 4: Stormy Day

Ask the following questions;

Ask the following questions;

1. What are the 4 weather conditions?

2. Why do we need to know the different precautionary measures?

3. Is it necessary to followed these precautionary measures? Why?

Group 1: Sunny day
Group 2: Rainy Day
Group 3: Windy Day
Group 4: Stormy Day

1. Sunny, Windy, Rainy, Stormy

2. We need to know the different precautionary measures so that we will be aware and we will be safe.

3. Yes, we must follow and keep it on our mind these precautionary measures because it keeps us safe.

Elaborate

Finding a practical application of concepts and skills in daily life

Ask from the class to share their experiences in the different weather conditions.
After that ask them what must the thing that they must do?

Student 1: During the summer break my family and I went to the beach and I suffered sunburn and to avoid
sunburn I must wear sunblock and reapply regularly.

Student 2; Last month, we go to the beach for our family

vacation. It was raining that time but we continue to go and we are very happy swimming suddenly waves
become bigger and almost make us drowned. To avoid drowning, we should
not swim or go to beach during rainy days.
Student 3: I was playing kite with my sister as the wind blows. Suddenly, a dust entered my eyes and it is
very itchy. To avoid dust entering my eyes during windy days, we must wear eyeglasses.
Student 4: It was raining hard and wind blows harder. I still went to school. Along my way, trees where
swaying and
somewhere blocking the way. I decided to go back home and listen to the radio. The reporter said that it was
signal no. 2 in our place which means that our classes are suspended. During storms, we should always be
updated.
Making generalization
Mechanics: Using a graphic organizer, the learners will fill the necessary information about the different
precautionary measures in different weather conditions.
Instruction: Fill the table by the necessary precautionary measures in different weather conditions.
Evaluation
Mechanics: The teacher will state the different safety precautions while the students will identify what
weather is it used to.

Instructions: Write Sunny if the safety precaution is done during a sunny weather, rainy for rainy weather,
stormy for stormy weather and windy for windy weather.
