1. CHECKING HOMEWORK – 5’
T checks the Ss homework and gives feedback
2. LEAD IN (2.2): 5’
T asks the Ss what day and date it is and then she asks the Ss to say what they usually do
on Wednesdays before they go to school.
3. PRE-TEACHING VOCABULARY (2.2; 2.4): 10’
T writes on the blackboard DAILY ROUTINE and projects a set of flashcards containing daily
activities to give examples of other daily routines and asks the Ss when and in what order they do
them,
T writes on the blackboard the activities from the flashcards: GET UP, HAVE BREAKFAST,
TAKE A SHOWER, GET DRESSED, BRUSH TEETH, GO TO SCHOOL, EXERCISE/ PLAY,
DO HOMEWORK and elicits the meaning.
T:” When do you do these activities? At what time? In what order”
T plays a clip from the movie “Despicable me” and asks the Ss to watch it and do the exercises
on the associated worksheet.
4. READING COMPREHENSION (3.2): 10’
T uses a text from the digital textbook( https://manuale.edu.ro/manuale/Clasa%20a%20V-
a/Limba%20moderna%20engleza/ART1/#book/u5-80-81)and asks the students to read it while
they listen to the recording. Then the T explains the words in bold from the text. To check
comprehension, Ss are asked to work in pairs and do a reading comprehension exercise.
T asks the Ss to identify the tense of the verbs used to express daily routines (present
simple), writes it on the blackboard and asks the Ss to work in pairs and find examples of daily
activities in the text they read.
5. LISTENING ACTIVITY (1.1; 1.2): 6’
Before listening, T goes over the exercise with the Ss to check for comprehensibility problems
and then she plays a recording and while listening, Ss have to put some daily activities in
chronological order.
6. PRACTICE (1.1; 1.2;3.2): 10’
Ss are asked to join a Kahoot game to practice the use of the present simple for daily

7. HOMEWORK (2.4): 2’
T assigns homework for next time: ask your partner about his/her daily routine during a holiday,
complete the table with the information and write sentences with your partner’s daily routine
during a holiday.
