Purchase of household items for house occupied by the Second Secretary

2. Mission wishes to inform that, after having examined the items which were used by Mr. H.
Unnuth as well as the former Trade Adviser, Mr. R. Virahsamy, the following items have been deemed as
usable:

● Fridge Bosch – purchased on 15 September 2014 @ MZN 35,000 PV 17/09;

● Washing Machine LG – purchased on 14 November 2013 @ MZN 15,712 PV 32/11;

● Sofa Set – purchased on 27 September 2016 @ MZN 144,999.00 PV 52/9;

● TV Set – purchased on 21 September 2016 @ MZN 114,000.00 PV 35/9;

● Dining table – purchased on 23 September 2016 @ MZN 74,100.00 PV 42/9;

● TV table – purchased on 10 September 2009 @ MZN 3,052.00 PV 15/9; and

● Vacuum Cleaner – purchased on 28 September 2016 @ MZN 4,499.00 PV 58/9.

3. In view of the above, the following items are required for the house occupied by Mr. V.S.
Bisumbher:

1. Toaster;

2. Microwave;

3. Kettle;

4. Wall Clock;

5. Dish Drainer;

6. Set of Knives;

7. Cutlery Set;

8. Bread Container;

9. Kitchen Spoon;

10. Serving Dishes;

11. Set of containers;

12. Cooking pots

 13. Pillows;

14. Bed Sheets;

15. Shower mat;

16. Table Cloth; and

17. Plate Mats.

4. The duly filled in forms for confirmation of funds for the purchase of the items under the
standard list are herewith attached.

5. It would be appreciated if approval could be conveyed for the purchase of the above 17 items.

6. The attention of the Ministry is hereby being drawn to the fact that due to the outbreak of the
pandemic Covid – 19, Maputo had been in a state of emergency since 1 st April 2020 till now. Most of the
shops are either closed or are not operating every day. The reason why only 1 or 2 quotations had been
sought for some items from secured areas/places.

7. Grateful for an urgent reply as most companies require 2-3 days for the clearing of cheques. Delivery
of these items is only made after the payment has been credited to into the supplier’s account.
