PROCEDURES
Introductory Activity The teacher will give have a review about the different elements of music through

Activity Music Appreciation through listening
Time Frame: The class will listen to the composition Chan Mali Chan by Marsiling Chinese

Analysis Analyze the composition you are listening to by evaluating the composition in its

Abstraction The teacher will give a brief explanation of the music of Southeast Asia.
Time Frame:
Application The class will be grouped into five (5). Using a music sheet and table as
Time Frame: guide, listen to the ways the music was performed. In a cartolina or manila
paper, write the differences and similarities of the performing styles as
observed by your group. The following performances will be evaluated:
- Chan Mali Chan by Marsiling Chinese Orchestra

(20 minutes will be given for each group to do the task.)
Assessment On a sheet of paper, let the students answer the following question:

Assignment Make a scrapbook of Southeast Asian musical instruments. Carefully organize the
