This course is intended for the entire students who are enrolled in this semester. It deals with the
mastery and correct execution of the basic dance steps and rhythm that would facilitate the easy way and
faster learning of more complex rhythmic movements in all forms of dances.

COURSE GOALS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course aims to develop in the students the basic dance steps and rhythm that would enable
them to learn different traditional dances.
At the end of the course the student should be able to:
4.1 demonstrate correctly the different fundamental warm-up activities.
4.2 participate actively in the discussion of the basic concepts in rhythmic activities.
4.3 review and master the different dance steps based on their rhythmic patterns and counts.
4.4 demonstrate correctly the different dance steps based on their rhythmic patterns and counts.
4.5 create rhythmic movements as an expression of one’s feeling and ideas.
4.6 dance with grace, rhythmic coordination, and other dance indicator.
4.7 participate in every unit practicum
4.8 perform and participate actively in the different activities to show appreciation of our
traditional dances.
