SOME/ANY/NO

Займенники some/any/no означають деяку кількість і перекладаються як


"декілька, трохи, якийсь".

SOME і його похідні (somebody, someone, something, somewhere)


вживаються у стверджувальних реченнях
ANY і його похідні (anybody, anyone, anything, anywhere) вживаються в
заперечних та питальних реченнях.
NO і його похідні (nobody, no one, nothing, nowhere) роблять речення
заперечним.

Someone/somebody/anybody/nobody – about people (хтось).


Something/anything/nothing – about things (щось).
Somewhere/anywhere/nowhere – about places (десь).

Запам’ятайте:
1. В англійській мові в реченні може бути тільки одне заперечення, тобто
або ви вживаєте дієслово в заперечній формі або похідні від NO:
I don’t see anybody. = I see nobody.

2. Any/some/no + (adjective) noun:


any (interesting) books, some (beautiful) flowers
anything/something/nothing + adjective:
something interesting, anything bad.

3. У реченнях, коли щось пропонується або є прохання, вживається


слово some:
Would you like some orange juice? (пропозиція)
Can I have some sweets? (прохання)
