WHAT IS YOUR PROPOSAL ALL ABOUT?

 The researcher proposal is all about, school policy which is haircut and it
focuses on BS education although we already have proper haircut policy that
criminology students already follow. The researchers concerned are just to be
more effective to other departments, because the most important parts of our
body that reflects our personality and our degree in life is our hair.

WHAT PROMPTED YOU TO PROPOSE THIS STUDY?

 As a criminology students through haircut I’ve been disciplined, so the researcher


propose this study to encourage other departments to have proper haircut
because haircut is a form of cleanliness and neatness of a students also to avoid
some issues like modesty of conflicts.

WHO WILL BE THE RESPONDENTS?

 The respondents of this proposal would be the college department of Gingoog


City Colleges distinctively all male students of BSED.

POSSIBLE QUESTIONS:

1. WHAT IS THE FOCUS OF YOUR STUDY?

 The focus of our study is to understand the perspective of the students


with regards to the haircut policy and to make them understand the
importance of the policy in their life.

2. In your conduct of the study, what is usually the student’s reaction to the
policy?

 Like all other policy that restrict the personal life of students, must of our
respondents have negative reaction to the haircut policy but there are a
few men have positive view of it.

3. CAN YOU GIVE AN EXAMPLE OF THE EFFECT OF IMPROPER HAIRCUT IN


TERMS OF THE FINANCIAL ASPECT?

 In terms of financial aspect, we don’t know the exact time that we will need
to cut over our hair or if it will not pass inspection. In this case, it
sometimes happen at a time when we do not have the extra budget
needed a haircut so we cannot do it immediately.
 For the emotional aspect, students are usually reprimanded and/.or their
hair was cut by the teachers themselves, and their can cause shame on
the part of the students.

 As for the social aspect, again students will feel out of place or “not in”
with the group because their hair dies not follow the latest fashion.

4. WHY DO SCHOOLS IMPPLEMENTED THE HAIRCUT POLICY?

 The schools implemented the haircut policy because but not limited to the
following reasons:

 Good morning... the students will look clean and presentable

 Proper haircut establishes continuity and consistency of dress code, avoiding


the issue of offensive look and fashion.

 Teaches self-discipline for real life. Proper haircuts the formal circumstance
that they will be facing in the future, we need to look and dress appropriately
as adults.

This study motivate us to encourage other students or other departments to have
their proper haircut because this policy is not only applicable for criminology
students but also to everyone specially here in Gingoog City colleges.
7. WHO WILL BE THE BENEFICIARIES OF YOUR STUDY?
First is the students it will help them to be more responsible and will discipline by
having proper haircut, and secondly the institution of Gingoog city colleges
because if other students and department will follow the policy then other
students will do, and lastly this study will benefit to the teachers because they will
no longer having a hard time on reminding their students to have a proper
haircut.

8. WHAT IS THE LIMITATION OF THE STUDY?


Lack of the resources in searching some related studies about our topic,
especially in foreign studies . Also this study will limit only for the students of
Gingoog City Colleges particularly In BSED.

9. WHAT THEORY DID YOU USE?


We choose this theory because it has a relation with our study, this theory comes
from the department of education promoting physical hygiene and proper school
decorum which is part of the teaching learning process in schools, thus a
student’s attire and physical appearance ( proper haircut for male) should
manifest learning’s from this process.

10. HOW DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR RRL?


We choose our RRL by following the said year it was published and it was
covered which is from 2000 up to the present. We choose these RRL also
because it can relate to our topic.

11. What research did you use?


The quantitative descriptive methods because the objective and goal of
descriptive method is narratively discuss what you have observe base from the
data that we’ve gathered .

12. WHAT INSTRUMENT DID YOU USE?


The instrument we used is conducting some sort of interviews and surveys which
is the question is based from our statement of the problem.
