like to ask who can recall our last topic?

Yes Liza May?

Our last topic is about subtraction of integers Sir.

Very good. And may I know what are the steps in subtracting
integers are?
Yes Rasmiah? In subtracting integers, first we need to change the sign of the second number. If the
sign is positive, change it to negative. If it is negative, change it to positive. Next is to
proceed to addition.
Okay very good.
B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson 5 minutes

Do you know the fruit salad song? Yes sir.

Let’s sing the fruit salad song

Watermelon, watermelon, papaya, papaya, saging, saging, saging, saging, saging,

have here the recipe, but some ingredients are missing. Can you Yes sir.
help me find those missing ingredients?

1 buko 1 watermelon 8 saging

(1 watermelon + ______)+_________= ___________+( 3

papaya+8 saging)

What do you think will be the right combination of fruits? Any

guest? 1 watermelon, 3 papaya and 8 saging sir.

Okay very good. How did you come up with those answers?
Did you find it difficult looking for the right combination of fruits?
A. Presenting examples of the new lesson 2 minutes

If you have idea on the properties of operations on the set of

integers, then it would be easy for you to look for the right
combination of ingredients.

B. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #1 Students are listening.
