Content Standards: The learner demonstrate understanding of parts , and


functions of the sense organs of the human body.

Performance Standards: The learners should be able to practice healthful habits in


taking care of the sense organs.

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
a) describe the different sense organs of the body;
b) align the given pictures to its functions of the sense organs of the
body and ;
c) show appreciation of the sense organ by taking good care of them.

II. Content

III. Procedure
Preliminaries

 Setting of Classroom Behavior

 Do not make unnecessary noise.


 Listen to the teacher during discussion.
 Raise your right hand when asking a question or when
answering.

 Drill
The students will sing and dance the song Alive, Alert, Awake
and Enthusiastic.

A. Engagement

The teacher will ask the students based on the guided questions given
below:
- Do you like ice cream? What flavor
do you usually get whenever you visit a
supermarket? Can you describe to us
your favorite ice cream flavor?

B. Explore

The students will read the poem and answer the guided questions
given:

1. What are the five senses mentioned in the poem?
2. What are the uses of every senses in our body?
3. What will happen when these senses are not working well?

C. Explain

Sense organ are specialized organs that help to perceive the world around us.
They are integral part of our lives and is the only way to that enables us to
perceive the environment. The five sense organs are your eyes, nose, tongue,
ears and skin. The five senses are sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch.

 Eyes- The eyes are one of the most important sense organs that we
have. They help us to see the world around us.

 Ears - The ears help us to know the different kinds of sounds around us

and help us to keep our balance.

 Nose- Our nose is the sense organ that we use to smell and. Our nose
also filters the air that we breathe.

 Tongue- the organ of taste. We can taste different foods with the tongue.
The tongue also helps us to talk. It is a fleshy muscle in the mouth.

 Skin- the organ of touch. It is the largest sense organs as it covers the
entire body.
