Assessment SOP

Flow of how to conduct dance assessment for students

Things to do before assessment week starts


1. Keep all student’s names and lists ready for the classes that you teach.
2. Inform the students in your regular classes when the assessments will be conducted.
3. Send in a daily diary note to the parents regarding assessments.
4. Go through the assessment parameters well.

When assessment needs to be conducted


1. Assessments are to be conducted from 18th to 23rd July, in your regular theatre
sessions.
2. It can also be conducted in any of the substitution classes. No extra class will be
allotted for these assessments otherwise.
3. It has to be taken within 40 minutes of the class.

How assessment should be conducted


1. As the students enter the class ask them to settle down and make them sit in the
audience area.
2. Instruct them that assessment will be conducted.
3. Keep your assessment parameter sheet ready.
4. According to the strength of the class, you can start assessing the students.
For eg:
a. You can ask the students to perform in groups.
b. You can ask three to four students to perform.
c. You can also ask on estudent to perform at once.

Remember depending on the class strength you need to decide and mark them.

5. Markings should be done in the google sheet provided by the central team
a. There are two ways to mark assessment.
b. Enter the assessment marks in a Google sheet with the name of the students and
parameters on your laptop.
c. The ones not comfortable doing it through phone or laptop can mark manually as well,
take a printout of the assessment sheet and mark with a pencil in the sheet. Ensure that
these markings are updated on the drive.
d. While entering the marks ensure all the marks have been entered in respective
parameters if not the student's end result will be generated as fail.

6. Grade wise parameters
