You have been taught the following cultural concepts in CCPFP lessons and in this assignment, you are
required to apply them:
1. Individualism vs Collectivism
2. Monochronic vs Polychronic (concept of time)
3. High Context vs Low Context
Over 7000 Multi-National Corporations (MNCs) from various countries have invested in Singapore. Here is a
sample list:
1. Bosch – German-based company specializing in the automotive technology industry, industrial
and building technology and consumer goods
2. Tencent – Chinese multinational technology and entertainment conglomerate
3. Samsung – South Korean company that is one of the world’s largest producers of electronic
devices
4. CIC – French-based financial services company
5. Sony Corporation – Japanese-based consumer electronics, gaming, entertainment and financial
services company
6. Philips – Netherlands-based consumer electronics, healthcare and lighting company
7. Xero – New Zealand-based cloud-based accounting software for SMEs
8. Roche – Switzerland-based high-end software and security engineering company
9. Apple – American multinational technology company that specializes in consumer electronics,
software and online services
10. Genting – Malaysian company involved in leisure and hospitality, oil palm plantations, property
development, life sciences and biotechnology activities.
Select one of the above MNCs and answer the following questions, providing rationale and examples for your
answer.

1. Deadline & name Please submit a soft copy of your assignment through Turnitin on
of document Brightspace by 5pm on the day of your CCPFP class in Week 8 (5-9
Dec 2022). Name the document as CCPFP_A2_Your Name.doc
2. Assignment mark Please fill in the Assignment 2 Mark Sheet with your full name and
sheet full NP Student ID (according to the register). You are to upload the
mark sheet together with your submission on Brightspace. Name the
document as CCPFP_A2_Your Name_Mark Sheet.doc
3. Font & spacing Submissions should be type-written and 1.5 or double-line spaced. Use
12-point Arial or Times New Roman font.
4. In-text citations Please provide in-text citations and a reference list for any external
and Reference list sources / research for your points,. To find out more on what these are,

5. Word limit Word limit: Please note that the maximum limit for 1) questions 1a to 1c
is 200 words per question and 2) questions 2 and 3 is 400 words each.
6. Plagiarism check Draft: Submit a draft of your assignment BEFORE the deadline to check
on Turnitin on your SafeAssign score (to the Assignment 2 – DRAFT Turnitin
submission link on Brightspace). You are allowed multiple attempts to
submit drafts but remember that this is not the final submission. Your
SafeAssign plagiarism score should ideally not exceed 20%.
- If your score is higher than 20% and there are parts in the text that
are highlighted in chunks, with no in-text citations and references
provided, please revise those parts before the final submission.
- If your score is higher than 20% due to the system highlighting your
in-text citations, references or other non-content related points, do
not worry – go ahead and submit your FINAL document.
Final: Once you are ready to submit the final document, upload your
document on to the Assignment 2 – FINAL Turnitin submission link
on Brightspace. You only have one attempt for this so ensure that you
have submitted the correct copy and that your submission is on time.
Upload your mark sheet (with your full name and Student ID) to the
link for A2 Mark Sheet.
7. Academic honesty You must never copy or submit your friend’s work. If you are using
& integrity information from elsewhere, please provide citations/references. If
citations/references are not provided, or if you have been found to have
plagiarized your work, you will be dealt with in accordance with NP’s
