I: Objectives:

At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

 Read intensively to determine the author’s purpose

 Learn the background of Korean culture

 Appreciate the culture of other country

II: Subject Matter

A. Topic: The Changing Morals of Korean Student

B. References: Voyages in Communication 8 Learner’s Module, pp. 600 - 602

C. Materials: pictures, television/laptop

III: Procedure:

A. Preliminary Activities:

B. Motivation

Activity 1: K-wave
 The students will identify who are the Korean groups/personalities and Korean dramas are featured in the
images.

C. Presentation of the Lesson

 The students will be shown pictures of past and present Korean morals/beliefs. The students should be
able to identify what changes have taken place. They will have to give their own opinion about questions
that will be asked as the discussion goes on.

D.Enrichment

Activity 2: Let’s Debate!

 The students will be grouped among themselves, having 5 members in each group. They will have to pick
out a topic wherein they will prepare arguments and facts for. After a 15-minute preparation, they will
have to debate in front of their classmates.

IV: Evaluation

Using the same grouping, the groups will have to present the positive and negative effects of these changes.
