Single-Phase Full Bridge Inverter


Object
To understand and design a circuit of a Single-Phase Full Bridge Inverter.

Theory
An inverter is an electrical device that converts direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC)[1]; the AC
signal can be at any required voltage and frequency with the use of appropriate transformers, switching,
and control circuits. Four switches are used to generate an AC waveform at the output from the DC
source. Any semiconductor switch like IGBT, MOSFET or BJT can be used.

component of the output as
