ACTIVITY TITLE: Case Analysis
CASE STORY TITLE: Volunteerism

Conflict Identification
Jaja experienced a lot of stress and frustration as a law student. She pursued her parents' long-
held desire to go to law school. Because of the flaws in the legal system and numerous murder
and rape cases, some of which involved children, she had been let down and had felt constant
sorrow for the lives of others. She searches for methods to let go of the burden on her shoulders
and focuses on the beautiful things in life and the notion that everyone has good intentions
instead of the numerous human rights violations and the demands of law school.

For a variety of reasons, including a lack of self-confidence and the idea that they lack the
necessary skills to assist others, people may decide not to volunteer. They are hesitant to give
others their complete support because they believe it will be ineffective for them. Another aspect
is that people avoid engaging in these activities out of embarrassment and worry that they might
make a mistake unintentionally.

Plan of Action
By learning and playing with the children, Jaja found excitement and joy in helping and giving
back to the community. Her volunteer activity allows her to abstain from her studies since she
enjoys seeing the smiles on the faces of the children and other people she assists. She had self-
confidence, was aware of her options for changing her situation, and knew how to do it. She
participated in community volunteer projects, feeding programs, and charity organizations.
Those who are afraid to give their services should start by doing basic favors for others. You'll
also be able to see how much delight and happiness it might provide for other people. It
motivates you to come back, improve, and make a more significant contribution.

Reflection
You are more than welcome to participate and give back to the community without being
required to volunteer in order to recognize each person's innate ability to understand how the
world works. A small part of each of us longs to make the world a better place. We are capable of
being leaders. We have the ability to influence others to behave morally. Those who need
support will have it, and by nurturing our souls, we too benefit. When you have the chance to
contribute, it is neither difficult nor simple, no matter how minor the advantage is to you, take
advantage of it right away.
