CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
Conceptual framework is the blueprint of the whole research study. In this step, you need to
formulate an assumption on how your variables are related to each other. Relationship between
the variables will be justified by the theories discussed in the Theoretical Framework. The
conceptual
framework is discussed in paragraphs and illustrated in a conceptual paradigm (you can refer to
the models presented in the discussion of conceptual framework).

Brief discussion about the conceptual paradigm that you have made:

The conceptual framework shows the relationship between sleep quality and depressive symptoms
experienced by junior high school students of Liceo de Mamatid. The dependent variable in this
study is the severity of depressive symptoms among the students dichotomized into no depressive
symptoms, mild, moderate, moderately severe and severe depression. The independent variables in
this study are the sleeping quality and their corresponding components.
