By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to keep the interaction going in short exchanges by checking

Pupils can:
a. ask at least five questions using question tags to check information that they believe is true.
b. answer at least five questions using question tags to check their ideas.
1. Pupils play What’s the word? game to review key vocabulary from the text in the Pupil’s Book pp.122–123.

2. Activity 1:
a. Read out the questions and give sample answers, e.g. My friend is good at playing chess. She goes
swimming every day. She can cook really well.
b. The pupils think of someone in the class and write down what they know about him/her.
c. The pupils then confirm these details with the person they made notes about, asking questions using
question tags to check their ideas. (Assessment)
Lesson delivery
3. Activity 2:
a. Write on the board the name of someone famous. e.g. Dato Siti Nurhaliza, Dato Lee Chong Wei, Dato
Pandalela Rinong etc
b. The pupils make statements about these people, using question tags to check what they believe is true
about them.
c. e.g. She’s a famous singer, isn’t she? He’s good at badminton, isn’t he? She’s a famous diver, isn’t she?

4. Hot-seat: Invite a volunteer to sit at the hot-seat.


Post lesson 5. The rest of the pupils ask questions using question tags and the volunteer answers the questions. e.g. You
love singing, don’t you? You are from Kelantan, aren’t you? Your mother is a nurse, isn’t she? etc
