I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the identified pupils with reading difficulties are expected
to:
1. Show willingness to read the selection correctly with understanding
2. Answer the comprehension questions correctly
III. Strategies
PART I
1. Prepare all the necessary materials in conducting Intervention activities
a. Results of the latest Phil-IRI in English and Filipino
b. List of Identified pupils with reading difficulties
c. Sets of reading materials to be used in reading
PART II
2. Intervention / Reading Proper
1. Reading
a. Motivation
b. Call the identified pupils individually
c. Guided individual reading
d. Check pupil’s improvement in reading
e. List down pupil’s errors or number of miscues while reading
2. Comprehension
a. Let the pupil read and answer the following questions after the selection
b. Note down the pupils correct/ wrong answers
c. If the pupil gives correct answer for the item, praise him/her. If he/she
fails to give the correct answer, ask him/ her to repeat the question and
try to answer it until he/she reaches to the correct answer.
PART III
IV. Evaluation
1. Did the identified pupils with reading difficulties show willingness to read
the selection correctly?
V. Assignment
(For follow-up intervention and based on the result of the given activities)
1. Provide the pupils available reading materials.
2. Tell them to practice reading at home and be ready for next call/schedule.
