SUBJECT DESCRIPTION:
Grade 10 Computer focuses on understanding the use and implications of connecting to internet; the studies on the relationship of WWW and Internet; the
basic creation of a Web site design using HTML as a hyper markup language; and the function of Adobe PhotoShop as an image editor application.
SUBJECT THRUST:
The LSM learners are committed to make every Salettinian appreciate, evaluate, and utilize technological knowledge, resources, and processes to enable
them to participate in the ever-expanding technology-based society.

FIRST QUARTER
CONTENT STANDARD:
The learners demonstrate understanding of the basic concepts and underlying theories in Internet Netiquette and intellectual property rights in using
computer and internet; understanding of the web security threats such spamming, flaming, phishing and cyber bullying; understanding on the basic
principles, history and steps on connecting internet.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
The learners independently construct a concept map that shows the different requirements in using internet; independently apply the different steps on
handling web security threats; independently demonstrate the steps in connecting internet.
ENDURING UNDERSTANDING:
Studying internet is very important to internet users because having knowledge about it will lead you to a good experience.
Being aware on the different internet threats can prevent us from harmful effects of using internet especially for the communication of the people in
cyberspace.

How do you act properly when you use the computer and the internet?
PERFORMANCE TASK:
Title: Netiquette Vlog
Goal- Educate the students to be knowledgeable on handling internet properly and safety.
Role- Internet users
Audience- subject teacher and classmates
Situation- The students will be group into four and will share their own experience in using internet.
Performance- The students will make a video presentation that represents their common experiences.

development;

The learners independently describe the use and importance of World Wide Web through making essay and creating diagram; cooperatively apply the different
disciplines in Web Design; independently differentiate clipart from graphics tools and identify the different tools according to their uses.

Studying the factors on how to develop a website can make our skills more accurate and reliable.

The learners show understanding in the fundamentals and ways of creating HTML file using notepad; understanding in the uses of basic tags in HTML;
understanding in applying image mapping using HTML; understanding in creating Line break and horizontal rule in HTML file; understanding in applying
invisible comments and background in a web page; understanding in formatting, inserting pictures and tables in a web page; understanding in using
hyperlinks in a web page.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
The learners independently apply the different steps on handling web security threats over the internet with the different web pages.
ENDURING UNDERSTANDING:
Websites presented creatively will make the internet users to have urged on visiting the site.
Knowing and having the skills on tools used in designing a website will give you a great foundation on developing your own website.

PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
The learners independently open and navigate and identify the different tools used in Photoshop; identify and use appropriate color mode used in Photoshop;
describe and used commonly used tools in Photoshop; create a diagram showing the different tools and its name of the Photoshop.
ENDURING UNDERSTANDING:
Learning the use of Photoshop as one of the known image-editing program enables learners to create original artwork, manipulate color images, and retouch
photographs.
