R: Hello again. And that was a nice party, wasn’t it?

R: So where are you going now?

E: Um, to the station. I need to catch a train home.

R: Me too.

R: Listen, why don’t we share a taxi. We’re going the same way.

E: Okay then, good idea.

R: Good, I’ll phone for one now.

R: Hello, can I order a taxi please? Yes, 29 Market Street, 29. It’s to go to the station.

Train station. Yes, my name is Richard Goodley. G, double o, d, l, e, y.

Yes, my number is, 07, 772, 827, 266. Um hm, that’s right it’s for two people. Um hm.

How long will that be? Ten minutes, at nine forty five.

Right, nine forty five in ten minutes. Okay, okay, bye. Ten minutes. Shall we wait

outside?

E: Okay.

R: So what exactly do you do?

R: There we were, fifteen of us.

E: It’s been twenty minutes.

R: Emma, while we’re waiting there’s something I –

E: Yes?

R: Forty five minutes.

R: Hello, this is Richard Goodley here. I’m calling about a taxi. Yes, I phoned forty five

minutes ago, it’s now ten twenty and it’s still not here. No, it’s not good enough. Where

is our taxi? I’m sorry? Is that A One Taxis? ..
