Ask the learners to observe about the current trends in clothing nowadays.
Let 4-5 learners share their observance.
Activity (Presentation) Let the learners draw about their observations. Let them recall the history of fashion or
clothing from 20th century up to present?

Group the students and let them present in class. They may present in the form of a short skit
or role playing so that the students may fell the era. Let them compare and contrast.

Each group will be given two (2) minutes to present.

Analysis Why does dressmaking is important?

Abstraction The teacher will present to the learners the following inputs:

 History of Dressmaking

Application Using the existing group in the class. Each group will present in the class a brief history of
dressmaking in a creative way of presentation.

1.Discuss trends/ status of the skills of tailors and dressmakers today?
Answer:
Today, the precise skills of tailors and dressmakers are still in demand at factories, stores, and small
shops. The limited investment required to cut and sew garments, the wide availabilty of fabrics, and
the demand for one-of-a-kind, tailor made garments are factors that continue to provide opportunities
for self-employed tailors and dressmakers.
2. If you are a skilled tailor/dressmaker and you sewed 50 pcs pants/skirt per day which cost
75 pesos each, how much will you earn in a day?
Ans. 75 x 50= 3, 750.00 per day.
