Personal Reflection
On the 5th

the last day of the training. ESP department facilitated the MOL in the morning. I’ve learned a
lot from the discussion made by Ms. Liberty Cabasag our school clinician as she discussed to us
the protocols that we need to observed if there are students who needs medical attention. I’ve
realized that we as teachers needs to provide healthy environment for the students because
healthy students are more likely to attend school and are better able to focus in class, which
ultimately leads to higher test scores and overall higher classroom achievement.
Ms. Salinas, Ma’am Dagdag, and Ma’am Castaneda discussed the school solid waste
management program. They presented to us the strategies to minimize solid waste in the school.
I’ve learned that Solid waste management is one of the challenges faced by many countries and
institutions. Poor solid waste management will lead to various problems in health, environment,
and socio-economic aspects. Since, educational institution is an agent of change and through
R.A. No. 9003, solid waste management must be practice and taught to the students. By having
an effective waste management strategy, you’ll show them how to reduce their waste production,
how to keep areas clean, and how to recycle – building a more sustainable generation!.
Mr. Bernadas and Ma’am Viterbo discussed the faculty club by laws and cooperatives. In
their discussion we agreed the laws presented and made some modifications on some mandatory
contributions of the members. I believe that having this kind of professional discussion may help
the organization achieved it’s goal.
Indeed, this INSET is an ideal venue to relay our concerns and challenges in school and
curriculum improvement. The learnings that we get are applicable to our teaching. This is an
ideal venue for us to raise our concerns and challenges because we, teachers, together with our
school head can brainstorm how we can give solutions to these concerns and challenges. Thus, it
strengthens collaboration and coordination among the faculty.
