PROCESSING
Read carefully and answer the following questions based on what you have observed in
class.
1. What are the problems or challenges in integrating ICT in teaching and learning?
ICT use in the classroom is crucial if you want kids to have the chance to learn
how to operate in the information age. The main challenges where a lack of knowledge,
self-assurance, and resources. Because it has been recognizing the confidence,
competence, and accessibility are crucial components of technology integration in
school is teachers must be provided with ICT resources such as hardness, effective
professional development, ample time and technical assistance.
2. What are the challenges encountered by students in using ICT tools and other forms
for digital technologies?
The study by Aisah Siddiquah (2021) found that load shedding was the main
issue that students had with using ICT at home, incapacity to use digital and ICT
resources that might aid pupils in their academic attempts. The rust that has already
formed presents and delays the learner’s usage of out model digital devices.
3. In what domain/s of ICT competency standards for teachers do teachers need
improvement? Why?
We can see and observe that not all teachers are competent in using
technological tools like, Class craft, Google Classroom, Class in, YouTube, Microsoft
Teams, and other all of which are beneficial for teaching and learning students,
particularly given that new normal in education is online classes. There is need for
improvement in this area of the ICT proficiency criteria for instructors.
4. How will you promote the positive use of ICT to your students?
I’ll urge my pupils to utilize technology opportunity by reminding them that its only
harmful if they abuse it to the point of being addicted to online games and other
platforms, which might lead to their skipping classes. Because there is so much fake
news and information in ICT, I want to teach my pupils how to recognize it so that they
can always verify the authenticity of what they see and read.
REFLECTION
Complete the following:
1. I realized that
To be a future educator, you must be technologically aware because printed
assignments and traditional grade computations are no longer common the culprits are
laptops and computers in general. To avoid stepping behind our students, who are only
now beginning to learn about and utilize ICT, teachers must be adaptable and creative.
2. I believe that
We would be smarter ICT users and less susceptible to favor and fake news if
we though before checking in social media or in any other ICT area. There are several
ways in which technology could assist us if we could figure out how to use it safely.
3. I feel that
Everything from students’ assignments to instructor obligations will be simplified
as a result of advancements in information and communication technologies. Because
of the support of ICT, our world has been able to better peoples lives through job and
lifestyle change as well as advancement to our education system here in the
Philippines. In todays 21st century learning environment both students and teachers will
be computer literate.
4. When I become a teacher, I will
Knowing how to utilize ICT to keep up with the times, since everything nowadays
is tied to the usage of ICT, even in the construction of instructional materials such as
PowerPoint Presentation, as well as to relate to your millennials students in what they
are saying and to offer your ICT learnings.
