Preliminary Activities

Reminding the learners to follow the classroom rules and reminders to have a
secure and safe learning environment.
CLASSROOM RULES AND REMINDERS!
The teacher will ensure that some important classroom rules is being observed
for the students to have proper and safe learning area to have full attention and
focus to the lesson. (INDICATOR 4)
1. Please maintain cleanliness inside the classroom.
2. Greet teachers and visitors properly.
3. Ensure that everyone is feeling well.

 The teacher will ask the students about their prior knowledge of the students
about Philippine folk dances and what Philippine folk dances they know.
What folk dance they know that we have here in the Bicol Region.

b. Establishing a purpose for the VIDEO PRESENTATION!

The teacher will show a short video clip. The learners will then need to identify
the dance presented and what details they know about the video presented. (Both
teacher and learners opt to use English/Filipino/Bikol language.

2. The group will write down 5 words that define the folk dance.
3. The group leader will then present it and also give a few details about
the assigned dance to the class. (The leader can present their output in
either English, Filipino or Bikol for them to be able to explain and

Each learner must participate and help in determining each of the
given folk dance.

We have already done discussing the classification and types of folk
dance in the Philippines. Our next topic will be the basic steps of folk
dance.
The students’ needs to identify some basic steps of folk dance they do
every day based on their understanding of the current topic. (INDICATOR
