Topic: Linear Equations with a One Variable

Learning outcomes:
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
1. Collaborate out using a rational equation.
2. Algebraically solve equations with a single variable.
3. Determine a linear equation.

Skills:
Simplify: 2x+13=25

Properties:

 Clear the fraction or decimal equation by multiplying both sides by the LCM of the
denominators.
 Remove any group symbols from both sides of the equation and simplify it.
 Bring all variable terms to one side of the equation and all constants to the other.
Combine similar terms.
 Separated the terms into both sides by the variable's numerical coefficient.
 By subtracting 25 from both sides, this equation may be represented as ax+b=0. But,
using algebraic techniques, we can answer the problem in its original form.

 In solving 2x+13=25, Ling wrote 2(6) +13=25

 To solve 2x+13=25, Fanny wrote the following steps:
 Step 1; 2x+13=25
 Step 2; 2x=13-25
 Step 3; x=6
Use:

 Make a Graph using 2x+13 that can be answered the slope is 2.

has a total of 25. How many did she start with?
 In the computer store, Roger pays php15 for the first hour and php15 for each
successive hour. What is the price of two 5-hour rentals?

Representation:
