병든 사자
A sick lion

어느 날, 늙고 늙은 사자가 식량을 위해 사냥하기에는 자신이 너무 늙었다는 것을 깨

달았어요.
One day an old, old lion realized that he was too old to hunt for food.

어느 날 one day 늙은 old 사자 lion 깨달았다 realized

사자는 곧 죽을 것 같았어요.
The lion was sure he would soon die.

He was very sad and went home.

천천히 집으로 걸어가면서, 사자는 그의 슬픈 처지에 대해 새에게 말했어요.

As he walked slowly home, the lion told a bird about his sad situation.

천천히 slowly ~하면서 as 걸어갔다 walked A에게 B에 대해 말하다 told A about B

새 bird 그의 his 처지, 상황 situation 대해 about

금방 숲 속 모두가 사자의 슬픈 처지에 대해 들었어요.

Soon everyone in the forest heard about the lion's sad situation.

금방, 곧 soon 숲 forest 속, 안 in 모두 everyone ~에 대해 들었다 heard about

나머지 모든 동물들도 사자를 불쌍히 여겼어요.
The other animals all felt sorry for the lion.

그래서 하나씩 하나씩 사자를 방문하기 위해 왔어요.

So one by one they came to visit the lion.

사자는 너무 늙고 약했지만, 아주 지혜로웠어요.

The lion was old and weak, but very wise.

각각 동물이 집 안으로 들어오자 잡아먹기 쉬웠어요.

As each animal came into his home, they were easy to catch and eat.

곧 늙은 사자는 행복하고 뚱뚱해 졌어요.

Soon the old lion became happy and fat.

어느 날 아침 일찍 여우가 왔어요.
One day early in the morning, the fox came.

아침에 in the morning 일찍 early 여우 fox 왔다 came

여우도 아주 지혜로웠어요.
The fox was very wise, too.

그는 천천히 사자의 집으로 가까이 갔어요.

He slowly came close to the lion's home.

밖에 서서, 사자가 좋아지고 있는지 물었어요.

Standing outside, he asked if the lion was feeling better.

서다 stand 밖에 outside ~지 if 물었다 asked

“안녕, 나의 제일 친한 친구.” 사자가 말했어요.

“Hello, my best friend," said the lion.

나의 my 제일, 최고의 best 친구 friend 말했다 said

“너니? 잘 볼 수가 없구나. 너무 멀리 있으니까 말야.

“Is it you? I can't see you very well. You're so far away.

잘, 아주 very well 보다, 보이다 see 너무 so 멀리 far away

더 가까이 오렴. 난 너무 늙고 곧 죽을 것 같으니까 날 좀 위로해 줘.

Come closer, please, and tell me some kind words because I am old, and will die
soon."

더 가까이 closer 오다 come 말하다 tell 말들 words 왜냐하면 because

죽을 것이다 will die

사자가 말하고 있는 동안,
While the lion was talking,

말하다 talk 말하고 있었다 was talking ~하는 동안 while

여우는 사자의 집 앞에 있는 마당을 가까이 보고 있었어요.

the fox was looking closely at the ground in front of the lion's home.

~의 앞에 in front of 마당, 땅 ground 가까이, 바싹, 접근하여 closely

마침내 여우가 쳐다보고 사자에게 말하기를, “미안하지만 난 가봐야 합니다.

Finally the fox looked up, and said to the lion, "I am sorry, but I must go.

제가 아주 예민해서요. 집으로 들어가는 동물의 발자국들은 많이 보이는데,

I am very nervous because I see the footsteps of many animals going into your
