II. RATIONALE
In line with the K-12 Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs)
in Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao, Araling Panlipunan, and Health, learners shall
acquire different values such as love for the family, good manners and proper
courtesies when associating with others, and proper ways in taking one self’s
health. Hence, conducting classroom- based Tea Party for the learners is a great
program to teach these values.
Tea party is a social gathering for young ages, and it is a great
opportunity to educate children but in a fun and practical way. It also supports
the theory of John Dewey, learning by doing. This approach upended the
traditional notion that learning happens through lectures and rote memorization.
Dewey believed that children learn best when deeply engage with the material. He
believed that the best way to achieve that was to create a practical curriculum that
had relevance to students’ lives and experiences.
Therefore, Sergia Soriano Esteban Integrated School II will conduct
Tea Party specifically for Grade 1- Faith learners and shall be integrated to the
said subjects.

III. PROJECT PURPOSE

The Tea Party will teach Grade 1 Faith students how to hold a teacup
properly, how to converse with guests, how to be a thoughtful host, and the
fundamentals of good table manners. Learners in this program will learn
socializing techniques and how to behave appropriately when attending a social
gathering.
