LAC ORIENTATION AND PRESENTATION OF LDM COURSE 2

MINUTE REPORT:

The faculty meeting was formally started with a simple prayer led by Ma’am Alicia R.
Dungo then checking of attendance was made by Ma’am Ma. Meriniza C. Mutuc. Before the
session started Ma’am Cecilia N. Vergara reminded teachers regarding the set of rules to
follow during the session.
Ma’am Cecilia N. Vergara discussed the following:
1. Division Memo No. 248 s. 2020 - Implementation of the Learning Delivery Modality
Course 2 (LDM2) for Instructional Coaches and Teachers under the Basic Education
Continuity Plan (BE-LCP), according to Ma’am Cecilia N. Vergara this memo
emphasized the activities in the implementation of LDM2 for teachers. She presented
the expected activities, schedule and persons involved in this course. She also talked
about the aims of this course such as to prepare the teachers in the implementation
of the learning delivery modality but with the assurance that learners, teachers and
principals are safe by following the health and safety protocols for COVID-19.
2. Division Memo No. 151 s. 2020 - She explained that this course will be implemented
through LAC sessions and coaching and she will serve as the instructional coach or
LAC leader since the number of teachers is less than the maximum number of
members which is 15. She mentioned the roles of the LAC leader and its members
so that to be aware of what should be done during the LAC session and to be
prepared of the expected outputs for every LAC session. She showed the teachers
all the expected outputs for every modules and told them to list them all so that to
have an advance idea of how to prepare them.
3. DepEd Order No. 35 s. 2016 – as stated by Ma’am Cecil this memo serve as the
basis for conducting LAC sessions. She said that since there is a course to be taken
by the teachers which is LDM2 and will be implemented through LAC sessions,
leader and members should follow the guidelines in the formation of LAC so that to
ensure the effectiveness of the process. She also gave an emphasis on the
importance of LAC such as to improve the teaching and learning process which will
lead to the improvement of the learners.
4. Ma’am Cecil started the discussion of the LDM2 for teachers by providing the
teachers an overview of the course. She said that even though our country is
experiencing this crisis because of COVID-19, the DepEd is still continuing its
purpose which is to ensure the continuity of learning while considering the health and
safety of the learners, teachers and principals. She also presented the course
objectives, course design, content and delivery, expected outputs and course
assessment and certification. After the overview of the course, she proceeded on
lesson 2 which is organizing the learning action cell. In this lesson she told us to
make a diagram showing the composition of LAC, enumerate the roles of the
teachers being the members of the LAC and explained the set of rules during LAC
sessions. She told the teachers to do the given activities for the lessons on their
study notebook. Lastly, she asked the teachers to accomplish the Form 4 which is
the LAC Engagement Report.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:00 in the afternoon.
