Detailed Lesson Plan in Alphabet Knowledge for Kindergarten

I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the pupils are expected to:
a. identify the objects that starts with letter F;
b. write correctly the Capital letter F and small letter f; and
c. appreciate the importance of letter F through an activity called Draw me.

D. Integration: After identifying the objects that start with letter G, pupils could

To formally start our lesson, we are going to
sing an ABC song.

B. Activity
Class, do you want to play a game? Yes, teacher.

(The teacher divides the class into 2 groups


and give them pictures.)

Class, analyze the pictures that I’ve given to


you and paste the picture of objects that start
with letter F, here at the manila paper. The
group that gets a high score will be the winner
and receive a Coca-Cola clap. Understand?

Very Good class. Let’s give a very good clap to


group 1.

C. Analysis

I will call your name randomly and when you


hear your name please stand and guess if the
object or things start with letter F.

So, based on the activities and games lately, do


you have now an idea what is our lesson for this
morning?

Okay, so our lesson is all about letters in the Letter F, teacher.


alphabet but this morning we will focus first to the
letter F.

So, this is the letter F.

Letter F is the sixth letter in the alphabet. So, this
picture shows capital letter F and this one is the
small letter f.

Okay, let’s say this is the mommy F and this is Yes! Teacher.

So, the sound of F is “Fah”

So, in order for you to know I have here pictures,

This time, I’ll teach you how to write capital letter


F.

Okay, point your pencils at the top where in blue


line and make a vertical down to the blue line the
back to the top and horizontal line then another
horizontal line in the red line.

Okay, let’s do it again.


I want to try teacher.
Now, who wants to try here at the board?

Next, we are going to write a small “f” or shall we
say baby letter f. From red line make a little curve
then straight down to the red line then a
horizontal on the blue line.

Kurt, please draw a small letter F here at the


board.

E. Application

Now class drawing time! I have here bond papers


and all you need to do is to draw a thing that
starts with letter F. Then at the top of the paper
write capital letter F and small letter f.
